Vice President's Key Message

Dear Valued Readers, 

I am pleased to share the remarkable progress and milestones achieved within MISC. Despite the challenges of market volatility and global uncertainties, we have continued to strengthen operational efficiency across our LNG fleet while advancing projects that reinforce energy security and sustainability.

One of the keys highlights was the naming ceremony of two new generation Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) carriers Mihzem and Idd Al Shargi held on 17 October 2025. The event marked a proud moment for MISC Berhad and our consortium partners, Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK), Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (K-LINE), and China LNG Shipping (Holdings) Limited (CLNG), as we continue to play an active role in supporting the world’s LNG transportation network. These two vessels mark a significant milestone for MISC Group, being the first under the QatarEnergy LNG expansion programme to be managed by its Marine Services arm.

 Another significant milestone was the sailaway of FSU Puteri Delima Satu, Malaysia’s third LNG Floating Storage Unit. Converted from one of our LNG carriers at MMHE Yard in Pasir Gudang, this vessel now proudly operates at PETRONAS’ LNG Regasification Terminal Pengerang (RGTP) in Johor.

 We also celebrated the successful delivery of four LNG carriers under the landmark QatarEnergy LNG shipbuilding programme: Al Tuwar, Al Mas’habiyyah, Al Zuwair, and Fat’h Al Khair. These achievements reflect the strength of collaboration with global energy leasers and reaffirm our role in supporting the world’s LNG supply chain.

 Adding to these achievements, the seventh MISC Group Appreciation Reception was held in Tokyo, where we had the privilege of celebrating our long-standing partnership with Japan and reaffirming our shared commitment to future growth together.

 Looking ahead, we remain focused to deepen collaboration with our partners and explore emerging markets where LNG and cleaner energy solutions will play an integral role. Guided by our #deliveringProgress strategy and commitment of our workforce, we will continue to uphold the values of safety, integrity and performance in everything we do.
