As we complete the first half of 2024, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our stakeholders for your unwavering support and confidence. We truly appreciate your partnership and eagerly anticipate achieving even greater milestones together in the months ahead.

We are thrilled to announce that on 31st March, MISC secured long-term time charter parties with QatarEnergy for new LNG carriers. Chartered for 15 years starting in 2026, which will cater to QatarEnergy’s transportation needs. This accomplishment strategically strengthens MISC's competitive position and upholds our reputation as a reliable LNG maritime transportation provider.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to all stakeholders who attended our key events, including the Iftar Ramadhan events, Aidilfitri Open House in Bintulu, and the Annual Aidilfitri Open House Celebration in Kuala Lumpur. These engagements reflect our commitment to sustaining collaborative partnerships and highlight our shared journey of growth, mutual respect, and collective synergy. Additionally, the MISC LNG Liaison Office Japan (MLLOJ) actively participated in the Japan Energy Summit & Exhibition 2024 and conducted courtesy visits to the Sakaide, Mizushima, and Hibiki LNG terminals, further demonstrating our commitment to engaging with our stakeholders in Japan. 

I had the privilege of representing MISC at the Future LNG Asia Strategic Summit on 15th May, part of the new conference at Future Energy Asia in Bangkok. I had the opportunity to share my insights on the future trends in LNG infrastructure and discuss how MISC is poised to navigate the evolving landscape of the energy industry. It was a rewarding experience to engage with industry leaders and stakeholders, discussing key challenges and opportunities shaping the future of the energy sector.

Before concluding, I would like to take this opportunity to highlight two important events this quarter: the International Day for Women in Maritime on 18th May and the Day of the Seafarer on 25th June which emphasizes their pivotal role in ensuring global trade flows smoothly and safely. Women in maritime break barriers and inspire future generations, while all seafarers demonstrate immense resilience and dedication, often facing dangerous conditions to keep our world moving. Let us honor their achievements and reaffirm our commitment to supporting diversity, safety at sea, and the wellbeing of all those who serve in this critical industry.
